Paul Prokos is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School, where he earned his Juris Doctor degree. While attending law school, he concentrated his studies on criminal law and was selected for the highly competitive Criminal Intensive Program. He was then placed with a prominent criminal defence firm specializing in homicide matters and gained focused and practical experience in serious criminal litigation early in his career.
Mr. Prokos has worked at Schofield Macchia since he was in his second year of law school. He has completed his articles with the firm and developed extensive courtroom and litigation experience assisting in and conducting bail hearings, pre-trial motions, Charter litigation, trials, and a wide range of other proceedings. Mr. Prokos has developed a tenacious and determined approach to litigating criminal matters working closely with Ms. Schofield and his colleagues at the firm.
Mr. Prokos strongly believes in the values enshrined in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. He is committed to ensuring that every client receives the strongest possible defence. Mr. Prokos defends clients charged with all manner of criminal offences and regularly assists clients facing firearm and drug charges as well as violent offences and large/complex cases.
